Because this Aluzinc layers coating has very good corrosion resistance ability which offers it 2-6 times the life span versus galvanized steel coils. Developed from hot dipped zinc galvanized and hot-dipped aluminum galvanization tech, galvalume steel combines with excellent characteristics of both products, premium corrosion and oxidation resistance of hot dipped aluminum galvanization and exceptional electrochemical properties of hot dipped zinc coated galvanization, which gives galvalume steel strong anti-rust and anti-corrosion ability at the edge and on the scratched surface.
Performance characteristics
1. High corrosion resistance: Due to the composite effect of zinc, aluminium, magnesium and silicon, zinc-magnesium-aluminium steel sheet has excellent corrosion resistance and can maintain long-lasting corrosion resistance in various harsh environments.In some areas, it can be used instead of stainless steel or aluminium.
2. Self-healing function: zinc-magnesium-aluminium steel plate has a corrosion-resistant self-healing effect on the cut section part.When the protective film on the surface of the steel plate is scratched or damaged by hard cutting tools, due to the mobility of magnesium ions, it will flow to form a new protective film in the part of the fracture that is not covered by the protective film, thus preventing the further expansion of corrosion.
3. Good processing performance: Zinc-magnesium-aluminium steel sheet has excellent processing performance, including tensile, stamping, bending, painting and welding.Its forming properties are superior to traditional GI (hot dip galvanised) and GA (hot dip aluminium zinc plated) sheets, making it suitable for the manufacture of deep drawn parts.
4.High hardness and damage resistance: The high hardness of the coating gives Zn-Mg-Aluminium steel sheet excellent damage resistance.
